Things To See And Do
Just relax in the Daintree Rainforest
Relax in the lounge chairs, read on the day bed or hammock, sit on the deck to spot the numerous birds and butterflies; listen to the sounds of the insects and the rustle of leaves. Meditate or practise your yoga exercises, smell the exotic flowers, gaze at the stars or watch the moon rise over the forest.
Got to the beach
Cow Bay Beach is 15 minutes' walk, 3 minute by car away from the B&B. The three beaches are fringed by palms and trees, there are beautiful inshore reefs and plenty of spots to relax. Go beach combing, swim, read, day dream.
For the fishing enthusiast Cow Bay provides a variety of environments either off the beach or the rocks. Launch you boat to head out to the Reef and the Daintree River or we can book tours for you.
Locally guided kayak trips in the morning or overnight are a fantastic way to experience this absolutely pristine coastline.
Visit the Great Barrier Reef
Cape Tribulation is the closest location to the Great Barrier Reef, Undine or Mackay Reef.
The 25 minute boat trip will take you there for ½ day snorkelling or swimming. You will experience the colourful underwater world of coral gardens, big and tiny fish in all colours of the rain bow, there are friendly turtles as well. During the winter you will see migrating whales on your trip to the reef.

Walk in the Daintree Rainforest
We have a bush walk that goes around the boundary of the property; a nice introduction to the Daintree Rainforest, which is rather impenetrable otherwise. You will be amazed by the variety of bird life, insects, butterflies and the lush tropical vines and variety of trees. During you visit here watch out for Cassowaries, orange-footed scrub fowls and goannas. You can check out creeks for turtles, jungle perch and fresh water crayfish. Explore three distinctly different board walks. Why not join a locally guided day walk or a night walk. The Daintree Discovery Centre offers multiple entry to their wealth of information; climb the tower, listen to the multi-language audio guide and enjoy the aerial walk way. Go horse riding, enjoy locally made ice creams, check out the Daintree Tea booth, book your Exotic Fruit Tasting, join the Jungle Surfers or go right off road with guided 4WD tours to Bloomfield Falls or even Cooktown. We have exceptional cafes and restaurants here in unique settings to look after you for lunch and dinner. Cow Bay has the only pub north of the Daintree River, featuring the longest continuous timber bar. There are galleries and even a museum with a collection of jungle bugs and butterflies. Anyone who likes to see a Salt water Crocodile in the wild can book guided boat trips on Cooper Creek and the Daintree River. Amazing scenery and wild life!!
